The Stevenson PACT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by parents and guardians in partnership with Stevenson’s teachers and staff. Our mission is to support the PACT (Parent and Child Teacher) philosophy through active family participation, experiential learning, and community connection. The Foundation strengthens Stevenson’s progressive education program by coordinating parent volunteers and providing financial support made possible through the generous donations of our school community. All parents, legal guardians, teachers, and staff of Stevenson Elementary are automatically members of the PACT Foundation.

The Stevenson PACT Foundation is governed by an elected Board of Directors composed of parent volunteers who guide the Foundation’s mission and operations.
The Board organizes volunteerism and annual fundraising at Stevenson Elementary, oversees all Foundation committees, sets general guidelines and policies about fundraising and volunteer participation, manages the Foundation’s budget, and collaborates with both the school administration and the School Site Council to align efforts across the community.
Together, the Board ensures that the PACT (Parents and Children Together) philosophy continues to thrive—fostering partnership, inclusion, and meaningful engagement between families and staff.

PACT Foundation meetings are held once a month—generally on the second Tuesday—and everyone is welcome to attend.
Each class designates a class representative to attend meetings and help maintain communication between the Foundation and classroom families. Two teacher representatives and the school principal also participate to ensure alignment between parent volunteers and school leadership.
Meeting agendas are shared with the community at least 24 hours in advance, and any Foundation member may suggest discussion topics. For convenience, remote access is available for those who cannot attend in person.

Behind every Stevenson program and event is a network of dedicated committees made up of parent volunteers who bring learning and community to life.
Each committee plays an essential role—from Cooking, Gardening, Arts Focus, STEAM, and ImPACT, which expand classroom learning through hands-on experiences, to Walk-a-thon, Trunk-or-Treat, Rocket Day, and the Holiday Boutique, which build connection and school spirit.
Other committees, such as Fundraising, Parent Support, Staff Appreciation, Equity, and Communications, ensure that Stevenson remains a vibrant, inclusive, and well-supported school community.

Foundation Committees - School-wide Volunteering
The PACT Foundation oversees the volunteer efforts in support of the community. Parents are asked to join one of the school-wide committees and spend approximately 20-30 hours volunteering over the course of the entire year. Committee jobs are categorized in a way to help parents match their availability with the general timing of activities undertaken by the committee (e.g. during school hours or after school hours). Through the committee placement process, our committee coordinator tries to make the best match given parents' preferences.
